Quick service wraps, burritos, and salads located in Terminal 3 at LAX, near Gate 30. Blue Window is a Los Angeles business that touts itself as an eco conscious, chef-driven restaurant. I used to frequent their Hollywood location (now closed), which provided an ever changing menu of seasonal food with delicious vegan options, served out of a takeaway window. When I saw this location at LAX, I was excited at their expansion and success, and pleased to see that more than half of the menu is still vegan.
Michelle working at the register was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I tried the Spicy Sesame Tofu Wrap ($13), which was just okay. The tortilla was the best part, somehow tasting freshly grilled, despite being unevenly microwaved. The kimchi and vegetables inside were soggy and devoid of flavor of any kind, while the rice was way too salty, completely saturated in soy sauce. Approximately one chunk of tofu at one end of the burrito. The components did not compliment one another, and the uneven dispersement of ingredients was unacceptable. Regardless, it was nice to have a healthy, filling vegan meal at the airport. Perhaps the change from small pop up restaurant to airport vendor has been a challenging adjustment for Blue Window. I hope they will attempt to improve their product quality, and continue to offer fully vegan options. -

We were 2.5 hours early for our flight to Las Vegas... We were hungry so I walked around this terminal in search for decent food. Not a lot of options... there's Burger King, Starbucks, and this place. The food photos looked yummy, so I bought a spicy chicken wrap. Not the best decision. It didn't taste good! I used to brag that I would eat anything... but I could not finish the $13 chicken wrap from Blue Window even if I'm starving. Ended up getting a whopper from BK.
Those who ordered carnitas were pissed off too... after paying for their orders, they waited almost 10 mins and they were called to say that they ran out of carnitas, and to just choose something else... tsk tsk tsk ... not cool Blue Window... not cool! -

Like almost everyone else here says ... If I could give it ZERO stars I would.
Service is awful. Two people behind the counter. One taking orders and the other removing your "meal" from a refrigerated window case and lining it up next to the microwave with all the other food waiting. Took about ten minutes to microwave my "asian wrap". Half of it was hot as lava and the other half was cold. Ditto for the wife's. Two sandwiches and a drink - $30.
I took a bite out of the hot lava end and seared all of my taste buds. So I don't know if it was me or just the food. Okay, just joking it was the food that had no taste. Soggy, wet, tasteless, mush with foreign vegetables inside a tortilla. Even though I was starving, I couldn't even finish it. Probably the worst thing I've put in my mouth over the past year.
Even as I write this article, two weeks later, I am still experiencing PTSD from that meal. I so wanted to tell others that walked up and were considering eating here to NOT. What a waste of money. I'd rather eat cardboard. I wouldn't even recommend this place to my enemies. -

I'm sure I'm not the only one that find the prices steep at most of the stores you walk into at the airport. But, if you find yourself desperate to find that last minute gift or a bite to eat before you jump on the plane, be prepared to pay the steep prices.
Running on low energy fuel and growling tummies, my husband and I stopped at what we thought was the last food place before heading to the gate. The line was long, but the aroma and photos of the food were quite enticing. We ordered 3 food items (2 wraps and a bowl of quinoa salad) two drinks and a brownie. I believe the bill totaled out over $30. The food was good, was cooked or microwaved fresh so it was steaming hot. This place is a tight spot as far as eating, but seating is available. It's an open concept so you don't feel too cramped.
I would eat here again if it added up to desperate measures, but now that we know there are a couple more places to eat closer to the gates, I'll spend the big bucks there and see what the food is like. -

An absolutely terrible excuse of a food outlet. I know airport food is generally crappy but Blue Window takes the cake! Super expensive for soggy, flavourless crap and mediocre service. I should have gone to Panda Express... and I hate Panda Express. Only good thing about this establishment is the easy access bottled water and the closeness to one of the gate lounges.
